At the METAL´23 conference Prof. Jožef Medved will present the plenary lecture "Aluminium – Sustainable Material of Green Transition".
Professional background and education
Prof. Medved received his PhD. in Materials and Metallurgy at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering, University of Ljubljana. Since 1996 he has been a professor at this faculty. He has been a visiting professor at the Ruhr University Bochum (Germany), the University of Zagreb (Croatia), the Technical University of Clausthal (Germany) and the University of Vienna (Austria). Jozef Medved is head of the Chair of Process Engineering in Metallurgy.

Scientific and research activity:
Prof. Medved has been part of many research projects and ARRS research and infrastructure programmes. He has been a head of the Optimization of Desulfurization in Flow trough Leadle project and international project Advanced Solder Materials for High Temperature Application (HISOLD).
